Founded by Jace Newington and back in 1997, Mere Mortals (MM) started life alongside Barrysworld, joining their MCW QuakeWorld leagues and creating quite a name for themselves. After the introduction of q3 and UT, the team finally decided to admit that QW was in it's death throws, and besides, everyone wanted to play the latest arrivals.... Then one day down the pub, Jace, Mantis, Belgarion, and two members another clan (RSI) Switch and Tigger, decided to reform MM...

MMX, Started playing Unreal Tournament in the Barrysworld leagues, but also in other places, C******e, 4x4x4x4 Cups, it soon became clear that the team formed we're heading to be Champions... And Champions they became, Taking 1st place in Barrysworld Division 1 DM, and winning the 4 cubed Cup two years running. Some members left, some stayed, some moved onto Counter-Strike 1.6. Back January 2001 we formed a cs 1.6 team and on the 22nd of July 2002 MMX took the number 1 spot in the UK C******e Counter-Strike ladder, One year and a half later with the help of the joint clan leader Pitt (sKiN).

With Counterstrike Source being released, 1.6 had seen better days. I (sKiN) moved over to source and joined Killerinstincts, from there I brought mmx with me. We are now part of the Killerinstincts Gaming Clan....
