 mint!, I do agree with you to some degree, but gamers are extremely fickle people, they expect to be treated like kings and if not, they rebel. There have been many leagues that have had the potential to be the next best thing but failed due to poor man management when dealing with users. Granted, I shouldn't really be preaching about man management but you get the idea.

Edit - It's not like anyone pays attention to the chatbox rule anyway. All you have to do is look to the right of the screen and you see people getting muted for posting fixtures or arranging matches there. Viden himself even said, and I quote...

In all honesty, I wasn't going to name any names as to who my original post was aimed at, but it's you Viden. You seem to power trip every now and again.

Now you're probably going to refer to how I was disliked as an admin and I'm probably still disliked, but it doesn't bother me as peoples dislike towards me wasn't detrimental towards UNGL's popularity as all of my actions were in the best interest of UNGL. I made my fair share of mistakes whilst I was an admin and looking back on it, I'd change my approach. Where as you're clearly being an arse and just getting high on gagging and banning people. You also decide to remove people who stand up to you and criticise your actions, I full expect to be banned after this post or muted on a permanent basis, but hey, I don't really game any more so it's not a bother for me.

That's my personal view on the situation, I don't have anything against you, just your policies on how you police this website.

 Trooper, sounds good, but it's dependant on the admins coming to a conclusion as I feel this sort of admin approach is going to be detrimental to UNGL's popularity. If they continue to mute people for advertising a fixture with out prior warning it will cause problems and UNGL will have a large decrease in activity.

 Trooper, just warn them via PM, explain the rule to them and tell them that repeat offenders will have their chatbox and forum privileges removed for a set amount of time.

Surely it is easier to create a template and just copy/paste it in a PM to people rather than going into the admin panel, searching for their user ID and then muting them?

I understand that the admins don't want to have people posting in the chatbox to arrange fixtures, but gagging people who may not even understand English fully for posting fixtures in the chatbox is a little harsh no? Especially if it's their first time doing it...

Personally, I see no problem with people posting their future fixtures in the shoutbox, it could potentially increases activity. I fully understand the whole "Admin look at this fixture cheater noobs" etc, that is annoying as it's not hard to PM an admin or raise a conflict in the match.

I just think a change of approach is needed as it may drive users away from UNGL as they may feel harshly treated.
